Final Online Reiho Lesson of the Year – This Weekend, 6 December

ree

This weekend, on 6 December, we will hold our final Ogasawara-ryu Reiho Online Lesson of the year.

To conclude the year, our theme will be “Bowing for Different Situations.”

While bowing is not a common part of daily life outside Japan, understanding how it works—and why it matters—offers a valuable insight into Japanese culture. Bowing expresses respect, sincerity, and awareness of the relationship between people. By learning the appropriate bow for different situations, you gain not only correct form but also a deeper sense of presence and mindfulness.

As many of us begin to wrap up the year, this is a wonderful time to reflect, reset, and prepare ourselves for the coming year. Learning proper etiquette through Reiho helps refine our posture, calm the mind, and bring greater intention to our everyday interactions.

In this lesson, we will cover:

  • How to bow in various situations

  • The meaning behind each type of bow

  • How posture and awareness influence etiquette

Join us as we complete this year’s journey into Reiho together.

We look forward to welcoming you to the final session of 2025.
