KYUJUTSU
Classical Art of Japanese Archery

Experience the classical art of Japanese archery as preserved within Ogasawara-ryū through a hands-on introduction to its fundamental teachings.
This 120-minute programme begins with an introduction to the history and philosophy of Ogasawara-ryū, followed by practical instruction in the Basic Forms of Reihō and the fundamentals of Kyūjutsu. Depending on your interests and available time, you may also experience mounted archery training using the traditional wooden horse employed in regular practice.
Every experience is tailored to the participant. Whether you are completely new to Japanese martial traditions or an experienced kyudo practitioner wishing to learn the Ogasawara-ryū approach, instruction is adapted to suit your level.
